What is Signal Flare?

Signal Flare automatically emails you your device's location when your battery is low.

This gives you the best possible chance to find it if it goes missing. The first time a Signal Flare locate is triggered an email will be sent to your F-Secure Mobile Security registered email address. After this, the locates can only be seen from your online F-Secure Mobile Security account in thesection. Signal Flare is activated when the battery is at +/-15% of charge (varies by device). 

To enable Signal Flare on Android:

1. Open the F-Secure Mobile Security app
2. Press your Menu  button
3. Select 'Settings'
4. Check 'Signal Flare'

For iPhone/iPad Devices:

1. Open the F-Secure Mobile Security app

2. Choose the Settings gearat the top left

3. Go to Missing Device and Tap to enable 'Signal Flare'

Note: For a successful Signal Flare "location services" must be enabled.
