How do I test Theft Alerts?

Once you have enabled Multiple failed passcode attempts from the Theft Alert setting and enabled the stock Android security lock screen, you can test the Multiple failed passcode attempts alert by inputting an incorrect PIN, password, or pattern lock three to five times. Each failed attempt must include a minimum of four numbers, four letters, or four dots in the pattern. You'll know you've done this correctly once the device locks out for 30 seconds.

You can also test if the Theft Alert are working with these steps:

1. Open the Lookout Life app and choose Theft Protection.
2. Tap  at the top right.
3. Chooseat the bottom of the screen.
4. You will receive an email with the device's location and a photo in just a few minutes.
